L'horizon perdu / The Lost Horizon
Amongst Friend And Neighbours

Broken, with ruined dreams, and certain of having no future in Morocco, Abdeslam decides to cross the Straits into Spain. That same night he bids farewell to the girlfriend who believes that he should try to find happiness in his own country.
BIOGRAPHY
Casablanca, 1975. Studied Film and Audiovisual Communication in Paris, going on to become an assistant director in numerous films. Her first short, L'horizon perdu (2000), unveiled her as one of Moroccan cinema's young talents. While waiting for her feature film debut, she made a couple of documentaries, Femmes en Royaume chérifien (2001) and Derrière les portes du hammam (2001), and a new and excellent short, Deux cents dirhams (2002).
