A group of teenage girls with a cause
Saturday, September 18th, 2010

Director Elena Trapé and the young actresses in Blog presented their film yesterday in the Zabaltegi section at the Kursaal. This is Trapé’s debut feature film and she stressed that it couldn’t have been made without the generosity shown by her actresses.

She had tried to make things as realistic as possible by focusing on themes that were interesting for teenagers such as their lack of confidence and awareness of their inadequacies, and their need to feel part of a group and have a shared purpose. As a result the film wasn’t totally fictional as the actresses expressed a part of themselves that was utterly genuine. Before starting to shoot she had organised an acting workshop with the cast that turned out to be really productive, as during this they spoke about their everyday experiences
which provided a lot of material for the final film.
