A turning point in culinary cinema

“Innovative, unusual and groundbreaking” are just some of the adjectives that could be heard at the presentation of El Somni, a multi-format project that among other results has led to a film that is being screened here in the Culinary Zinema section. It was presented here by its director Franc Aleu, and Josep Roca, Jaume Roures and Marc Puig on behalf of Barcelona City Hall. All four of them stressed its cross-disciplinary nature and said that it was going to mark a turning point in culinary cinema.

The film show the creative process of a dinner that more than forty artists took part in and which was conceived as an opera in 12 acts/dishes.
