Raphael and Alex de la Iglesia are mutual admirers. You can tell: the personal chemistry between them was quite clear at the press conference they gave yesterday to present Mi gran noche, the first time that the singer has been seen on the big screen in over three decades. “I really fancied making a film again and the truth is that I felt totally supported by the other actors. In the films that I shot in the 60s and 70s everything was totally different; they set up a dressing room and they only brought you out to do your own scene which you used to shoot on your own.”
De la Iglesia joked that, “the truth is that Raphael seems to have really acquired a taste for making films and I can already see the possibility of making a horror film with him since he makes a really interesting psycho killer.” He also revealed that he had no problems convincing the singer to take on the role.
