The Belgian director Joachim Lafosse and French actress Louise Bourgoin gave a press conference yesterday to answer questions about their film Les Chevaliers Blancs, which deals with the scandal caused by irregular adoptions in Chad that affected the French charity organisation, Zoe’s Ark. Joachim Lafosse stressed that although his film was based on real events, “a film is always false.” He added, “I’m an artist, I work on fiction and I couldn’t care less about reality.” What he wanted was to bring the audience face-to-face with the dilemma of what they would do in a similar situation.
