Marcos, a 17 year-old farmhand, discovers his sexuality in a hostile atmosphere. Nicknamed "Marilyn" by the other village teenagers, he becomes an object of desire and discrimination. Marcos feels increasingly more penned in.
Martín Rodríguez Redondo was an assistant director on the documentaries Il rumore della memoria, by Marco Bechis, Hombres muertos, by Gregorio Crámer, El fin del Potemkin and El silencio, both by Misael Bustos, among others. In 2016 he directed the short film Las liebres, which screened at different international festivals. Marilyn, his first feature film, was selected for the Co-Production Forum at the San Sebastian Festival in 2014, won the European distributors and exhibitors award at Films in Progress, Toulouse 2017, and premiered in the Panorama section of the last Berlin Festival.
