Adilkhan Yerzhanov (Djezkazgan, Kazakhstan. 1982) directed, in 2011, his first feature film, Rieltor (Realtor), followed by Stroiteli (Constructors, 2013), Ukkili kamshat (The Owners, 2014), shown out of competition at the Festival de Cannes, Chuma v aule Karatas (The Plague at the Karatas Village, 2016), screened at the Rotterdam Festival, Nochnoy Bog (Night God, 2018), premiered at the Moscow Festival, and Laskovoe bezrazlichie mira (The Gentle Indifference of the World, 2018), a participant in the Un Certain Regard section at the Festival de Cannes. In 2019 he competed in San Sebastian Festival’s Official Selection with A Dark-Dark Man. Zheltaya koshka was presented in the Orizzonti section of the Venice Festival.
