  • Withdrawal of invitations
    The Accreditation Box Office moves to the Hall of the Multipurpose Rooms in the Kursaal Centre, beside the locker area in the same Centre, with a longer opening time, from 8:00 to 20:00.Here you can withdraw invitations from 8:00 on the day before until 15:00 on the day of the screening. Beside the ticket desks, you will find ticket request forms. Only people who have correctly completed said form will be attended to.
  • Press screenings
    As well as the Kursaal 1, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and the Principal Theatre, there will also be press screenings in the Príncipe Cinemas. Consult the screenings to which you have right of admission with your pass in 'My Festival', as well as daily information on press screenings in order to confirm the cinemas and times announced in the Festival’s communication channels.

  • Virtual press box
    Official web space containing promotional material provided by production companies (pressbooks, images, audio and video clips), gala abstracts and the Festival headers. Access via the 'My Festival' section with your user name and password.
  • TV clip information
    Assistance in use of the virtual press box.
  • Press lockers
    The Festival uses the lockers to distribute promotional material provided by production companies and other interesting information for accredited press members. Keys can be collected by showing your pass and must be returned at the end of the Festival.
  • Interview coordination
    The list of press agents, films and personalities whose interviews are arranged by the Festival can be found in the 'Press' section of the official Festival website. Interviews can be requested from September 17 by accessing the section in 'My Festival' with your user name and password.
    English and French-speaking interpreters will be provided on request for interviews arranged by the Festival.
  • Newsroom
    It is forbidden to eat, drink or use the phone in the Newsroom. Equipped with:

    • Special connections for graphic reporters

  • Official App
    Available for iOS and Android. Can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play.
    Once installed, authorise the App to receive notifications.You will also find news, film information, the programme, videos, image galleries and practical information about services in the city.
    In the App you will find a programme planner which will help you to organise the times of the films you want to see. Simply marking your programme preferences as favourites will bring them up on your timeline. The App also offers an alerts system so that you can receive warnings before each of the screenings you have added to your timeline.

  • Zinemaldia daily
    The San Sebastian Festival daily, available in the Kursaal locker area, hotels and cinemas.
  • Notice Board
    Located in the Kursaal Centre locker area with complete updated information on the day's programme and activities, the arrival of film crews, press conferences, photocalls, red carpets, Zinemaldia Meetings, Horizontes Breakfasts and last-minute notifications.
  • Activities Daily Planning
    Every afternoon, an email will be sent to accredited press with activities scheduled for the following day.


  • Press screenings
    All feature films programmed in the Official Selection, New Directors, Perlak, Donostia Awards Screenings, EiTB, TVE and Basque Cinema Galas and some of the films in Velodrome have an exclusive screening for the press and accredited guests.
    Press screenings can be found in the 'Press' section of the official website and App. The list is also included in your press documentation and is confirmed every day by the usual channels.
  • Other screenings
    For sessions in the K1 (afternoon and evening) and K2, the Antiguo Berri, Príncipe and Trueba Cinemas, San Telmo Museum and Tabakalera Cinemas 1 and 2, an invitation must be withdrawn from the accreditation Box Office at the Hall of the Multipurpose Rooms in the Kursaal Center, beside the locker area from 08:00 the evening before until 15:00 on the day of the screening. They can also be collected 10 minutes before the screening, subject to availability. Invitations for the Opening Gala will be available on the same day as the event, September 20, from 14:00.
  • Nest Film Students
    An invitation for the short film screenings must be requested from the ticket desk for accredited guests.
    Invitations are also required for the masterclasses and must be requested as soon as possible from the Press Department, always subject to availability.


  • Press conferences
    Kursaal Centre. Rooms 2 and 3
    The press conference programme can be found in the 'Press' section of the official website from September 11.
    These press conferences usually take place after the screenings of Official Selection films in the Kursaal 1 and are preceded by a photocall.
    Press conferences are also organised for donostia Awards, other films and the retrospective and are announced through the usual information channels.
    A simultaneous interpretation service is available. Headphones are available at the entrance to the Press Conference Room in exchange for your pass.
    The press conferences are broadcast live and recorded on the official website.
    It is forbidden to use a flash, and to eat, drink or use your phone in the Press Conference room.
  • Horizontes breakfasts
    Victoria Eugenia Club. Every day at 11:00
    The Horizontes Breakfasts are attended by Horizontes Latinos filmmakers present at the Festival. They are announced daily through the usual channels.
  • Zinemaldia Meetings
    Victoria Eugenia Theatre Club. Every day at 14:00.
    The Zinemaldia Meetings are attended by filmmakers participating in the New Directors, Perlak and Zabaltegi-Tabakalera sections. They are announced daily through the usual channels.
  • Closing Gala
    Rooms 2 and 3 will be equipped for live coverage of the Closing Gala by accredited press. At the end of the Gala, the winners will make their way to this room to speak to the press.
  • Industry Activities
    Information will be provided on these activities in the 'Professional Agenda' section of the website. These activities are open to the accredited press unless otherwise indicated.


  • Photocalls
    They take place on the Kursaal Terraces, weather permitting. In the event of bad wheather, they will be held inside the Kursaal 1.
    Information will be provided on these through the usual channels.
  • Press areas at venue entrances
    The Festival assigns spaces to photographers and cameramen / women at the entrance to the Kursaal 1, Victoria Eugenia Theatre, Tabakalera and Maria Cristina Hotel.
  • Press conferences
    Pictures can be taken before the press conferences. The instructions of the Festival staff must be followed at all times. It's forbidden to use flashes in the room.
  • Access to galas
    Access to the Kursaal 1 for the Opening, Closing Galas and to the Donostia Award ones is restricted to photographers, who must respect the following instructions:
    • Remain seated, without standing up, until the end of the gala
    • Do not use flashes during the ceremony
    • Leave the hall at the end of the ceremony
    • It is forbidden to film images in any format for delayed transmission
    • Due to television broadcasting requirements, the organisation reserves the right to select the photographers who are allowed access.
  • Photo journalists can access the Presentations at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, the Velodrome and other cinemas; however, they must follow the instructions issued by the organisation at all times. They will have to leave the premises at the end of the presentation.

On Sunday 22 the bus service is advancing half an hour


From Friday 20 to Saturday 28 September, DBUS will provide a special bus service.
Every day buses will run more frequently, and additional services will be available.
Furthermore, on Fridays 20 and 27 September, and Saturdays 21 and 28 September, 'BÚHO' night buses will run to the different districts.
